NEW* Garbage's Bond Song Ready, Garbage Campus Invasion Tour, Lipstick Is Out, B-Side 2CD Album
The song recorded by Garbage for the new Bond film The World is Not Enough (in cinemas from November 26) is available as an MP3 download at 007 fan site The Definitive James Bond Sound Page. Recorded at Metropolis studios back in June complete with Bond-esque 83-piece orchestra, The World is Not Enough was written by veteran Bond composer Don Black and David Arnold. Back then Black told Q Online, ?The song reflects the film. It tells the story, which of course is all about world domination, but a lot more personal and intense. It?s quite ballady and dramatic, but feels contemporary. It?s Bond for 2000.? The single is out on November 15th on Radioactive/MCA. Click Here! To see the cover of the Bond single!
College students and Garbage fans of America, consider yourselves warned. Garbage and Lit have firmed up the first leg of dates for their upcoming Campus Invasion tour (sponsored by MTV). The Invasion outing will also feature a variety of other music and lifestyle oriented activities inside the roving MTV village.
Garbage are currently compiling a B-sides album due out early next year, and they've also been developing non-music product. Adding to their popular unisex Garbage nail polish - in signature orange - the band's official website has introduced another cosmetic, Garbage Lipgloss, in a shade described as "a cross between raspberry and plum with a pearlized twist". You too can look like Shirley Manson. Apparently. Click Here! To see the lipstick!
The new B-Side album will also include two new tracks "Silence Is Golden" and "Til The Day I Die"! Release date should be around early April 2000!

Wall Of Sound says the following and once again confirms Garbage's song for the next Bond movie is done: According to Dotmusic, Garbage has just completed recording the theme to the upcoming James Bond flick The World Is Not Enough. The band recorded the title track along with an 83-piece orchestra. Don Black, who co-wrote the song, told Dotmusic that "The song reflects the film. It tells the story, which of course is all about world domination, but it is a lot more personal and intense. It's quite ballady and dramatic, but feels contemporary. It's Bond for 2000." The World Is Not Enough is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 19.
Q Magazine says the following also assuring us that Garbage's Bond song is definetley done: Garbage have laid down their theme song for the new Bond film The World Is Not Enough. The eponymous song was recorded at Metropolis Studios with an 83-piece orchestra under the watchful eyes of composers Don Black and David Arnold. Black, a Bond theme veteran, told a music trade paper, ?The song reflects the film. It tells the story, which of course is all about world domination, but a lot more personal and intense. It?s quite ballady and dramatic, but feels contemporary. It?s Bond for 2000.?

Sorry For The Delay In Updates & Garbage In Bond Movie & Shirley In Calvin Klein
Hi Garbage Fans, I (The Webmaster) want to apologize for not updating in such a long long time! The thing is that i had decided to redo the whole site, and i was in the process but, then all of the sudden my comp like got totally fucked up and i had to re-format the whole hard drive! I lost everything, the whole new design and all the multimedia that i had on my comp were gone! So now i decided just to update the design and keep updating with the important stuff which is Garbage news!
Directly from Music Week:
Garbage, an 83-piece orchestra, Don Black and David Arnold together in Metropolis Studios - it is a mission only 007 could achieve. The band have laid down the title song to the new James Bond movie 'The World Is Not Enough' and Black, who wrote the track with David Arnold, says it is vintage Bond. "The song reflects the film. It tells the story, which of course is all about world domination, but it is a lot more personal and intense. It's quite ballady and dramatic, but feels contemporary. It's Bond for 2000," says Black, who has been involved in Bond movies since Thunderball. He plans to collaborate with Arnold on other projects, and currently planning a musical version of Graham Greene's Brighton Rock with Bond theme composer John Barry.
Although the above confirms that Garbage did infact do the bond song, the official website
garbage.com still denies it and says the following: Rumors abound that Garbage will be recording the theme to the next James Bond film "The World Is Not Enough" due for release in the US on November 19. Truth is, Garbage is in negotiations. No deal has been struck yet. Stay tuned for more info!!!

Garbage DVD/B-Side Compilation & New "You Look So Fine" B-Sides
Butch Says : We are starting to work on a new DVD which will have the videos(Version 2.0), additional behind the scenes footage, and clips from our live shows. We are looking at what we can do with the new technology in terms of trying to make it interactive...you might be able to do a Garbage remix yourself! We might also release them in long form video much like the first album. We'll keep you posted!
Butch Also Says: We don't really like the idea of people selling bootlegs to fans, especially if they cost a lot and sound shitty. But most of the fans who buy bootlegs have already bought our albums, and they just want to hear more Garbage! It's OK if you want to make copies for your friends, just don't charge them for it. We plan on releasing a compilation of all the B-Sides and Remixes later this year which will also include some new material!
The new names of the B-Sides that will be on the singles for
"You Look So Fine" are going to be: "Soldier Through This" and "Get Busy With The Fizzy" (but they might change later on), the single will also include a remix of the track by the Fun Lovin' Criminals! BTW: Check Out Shirl's Diary! Click Here!

Garbage's next single "You Look So Fine" was, but will not be featured in the end 'party' sequence of the film "Entrapment", released in the US on April 30th by 20th Century Fox. The film, starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones, is a thriller set in the last days of the millennium. Sean Connery personally requested the use of the track in the film. It turns out that he is a huge Garbage fan and was often playing "Version 2.0" on the set of the movie, accompanied by occasional outbursts of singing and the dancing of jigs.
